I'll suggest that, and if they want more I'll just push that regedit. ![]() Searches on removing the program always circle back to "its integrated so you can't remove it"Īnyone have any experience with this? With MS phasing out Skype for Teams hopefully someone's had some experience with this, or we can come up with something that'll fix it for future folks that have the same issues.Įdit: Yea I thought the Teams coexist settings would be the way to go. Searching for it and opening it seems to still start it up with no issue, though. Also removing it from startup programs works like normal. I found we could do a regedit in Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run to delete the Lync value, which appears to be suppressing it from starting up on my test computer. I think we're looking for more child blocks than that if possible. Under Chat and call section, under When a new chat arrives and When an incoming call. Select General, then select Notifications. ![]() I brought up using the Teams coexistence settings to go to Teams only mode, and push the silent Teams install for anyone that doesn't have it (everyone should but just in case). We currently have O365 so Skype is baked into the install so we can't push something out to uninstall it. We're looking for a way to disable, remove, suppress, or anything else to hide Skype for Business from user's computers so they can't find it and try to use it. We have a fair number of users already using Teams while we've been advocating for it, but Skype for Business is still the standard for some of the folks who don't want to change their ways. ![]() My company is currently planning on a 100% cut over to Teams within a few months.
